You Think the Bed at the Ritz-Carlton is Comfy?
I found a site while surfing the net today, that claims to be selling the same pillows used at the Ritz Carlton.
I thought this was an interesting concept. I mean, a night at the Ritz Carlton is a night of decadence and untold luxury. Being able to have that in your own bed, every single night, intrigued me.
So out of curiosity I took a trip to the Ritz-Carlton website to find out what a night there actually costs.
It turns out that a one evening stay, by one person, in the Ritz Carlton overlooking central park, even booked 8 months in advance, cost between $700 and $2500!
I didn’t check any Ritz’s in any other locations, but I assume the pillows are the same anywhere you go.
Meanwhile, PacificPillows.com are offering the same pillows you will find in that $2500 room, for as little as $60 a piece. They also offer the same comforters as the Ritz for around $250, which is very competitive for a premium set.
Now I’m not an expert on pillows, but it seams that what they are allowing you to do is recreate that same comfort, the same relaxing experience you would have in their over priced beds, for a fraction of the cost.
Maybe I will buy a few sets, put them in the various bedrooms in my house, and start charging $2500 a night for people to stay there. I’m not overlooking central park, but I do have a nice view of the ocean.
The only problem is they don’t sell the same mattresses as the ritz, but there are so many fancy bed options out there right now that you should be able to find something which satisfies.
Pacific pillows also carries a line of bedding featured at the Marriot, and the Hilton.
The coolest feature I found on this site was the ability to purchase a whole hotel package. This includes pillows, comforters, protective cloth, and even a feather bed to place over your mattress for maximum comfort.
Anyways an interesting site overall, and a simple way to make your life, just a little bit more luxurious.
