DGB Enterprise Candles
I’m still on my candle craze and have found another one of my new favorite candle sites on the web http://www.dgbenterprisecandles.com
This is a pretty standard candle and candle holder store but what I was impressed by was the wide range of unique products they have listed.
For instance they have this resin grapevine candle holder It is a little over a foot tall and it holds eight candles amongst a rustic representation of a growing grapevine. I think this would be a really beautiful piece to spruce up a basement. Can you imagine the gentle glow of eight orbs radiating in the dark. And the deep metallic piece itself has that rustic feel that just screams basement décor.
And then of course there are the twisted heart candelabra. This piece is a series of stems rising up into glass, heart shaped buds, which hold tiny Tea lights. The lights are tinted to a rosy color when illuminated.
I am a big fan of the romantic date gift. Basically you buy a bunch of mushy lovey dovey, but tastefully attractive, decorative products and use them to set up a date for your loved one. Then, when the date is over, they get to keep everything as a memento of your special evening. I think these candelabra are perfect for just such an occasion.
By far the best part of the site isn’t even the unique array of products they have. Instead it is the very clever idea of posting pictures of various decorative candle arrangements on a page called candlescapes There are only a few pictures right now, but the idea of being able to see products you can purchase in a real decorative setting seems like a really useful idea. One of the biggest problems with buying home décor online is that you can’t see how it will look with other items in your home.
The site itself is run by a charming woman named Donna, (I had the pleasure of communicating with her via email before this review) with occassional help from her husband Gary, down in Louisiana. From the interaction I’ve had they are friendly and responsible people trying to run the best candle shop they can.
Anyways I just wanted to share my thoughts on this unique little candle shop.
