Be-Stitched - By Candle Light
Kathy Ann of Be-Stitched has an interesting take on candles.
A quick read of her blog reveals that she is a Wiccan, and she believes that the lighting of certain types of candles, during certain ritual spells, can cause an effect on the outside world.
The interesting thing is that apparently, she doesn’t always need the whole candle, and she can’t reuse a candle for another ritual, so she ends up with a lot of leftover half candles.
These, she uses to light her world, creating an intimate and enclosing space. She uses them when watching horror films, or even when she reads them, despite the damage it coulld do to her eyes.
